Short-Term Job Adventures South Carolina
Gravatt is rurally located but just 25 minutes from downtown Aiken, 30 minutes from Augusta, GA (home of the Masters!) and 45 minutes from downtown Columbia, SC (the state capital). Bordered by the beauty of the historic Savannah River and the South Edisto Fork, Aiken County offers places to get your feet wet, bait a hook, or simply cruise along the waterway. The famed Hitchcock Woods, America's largest urban forest, is located in downtown in the City of Aiken. As the center of South Carolina's "Thoroughbred Country," Aiken is known for pristine horse farms and first-class equestrian sports.
Gravatt is a sanctuary for the ministry of faith formation, hospitality, leadership development and environmental education. The Internship Program is designed to introduce young adults to a nonprofit camp and conference center work environment where they'll acquire valuable supplementary skills and make contact with potential future employers. It is a perfect opportunity for high school graduates, new college graduates and college students taking a year off to determine their vocational path. Current Internship openings include a Program Intern, Kitchen Intern, Marketing & Development Intern and Operations Intern, with a summer (May 26th–August 10th) or fall (September–May) work period option. If you are motivated, organized, polite, trustworthy, flexible, able to complete tasks in a timely manner with little supervision, and interested in working in a faith-based environment, send your cover letter and resume to Scott McNeely.
