• A full year in American Samoa, Bangladesh, Chile, China Hunan, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, India, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Islands of Pohnpei, Kosrae and Chuuk), Namibia, Tanzania, Thailand and Vietnam. • A semester in Chile, Namibia, Panama and Tanzania. • During the summer months in China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Namibia, Poland and South Africa. Most volunteers teach English as full-time employees; however, in some countries, subjects may include math, science, computer skills and HIV/AIDS awareness. In addition to teaching responsibilities, volunteers will have a role in the community and an opportunity to learn about the local culture and contribute to community life and development. Program fees range from free on up to $5,990, and include housing with a private room and meals (generally with a local host family), a small living stipend, round-trip international airfare, health insurance, training, a teaching position and field support. Volunteers can be recent college graduates, current college students (for summer programs), working professionals, teachers on sabbatical, couples, retirees, or anyone else who is committed to international service and education. Teach English Abroad while earning your living expenses and a monthly stipend! In addition to teaching English, you will have the opportunity to organize various extracurricular activities that can include after-school clubs, sports, art projects, discussion groups and other activities that promote learning English outside the classroom. No teaching certificate required! • Teaching placements in Chile are available throughout the country. Volunteers will teach in public schools, live with a host family and receive a TEFL certificate at the end of the program. In Ecuador, you can participate in the Language Partner Program or become a Home Tutor in Cuenca or Quito. • The Teach English in China and Thailand programs include a TEFL Certificate training course and a paid teaching placement for 3-12 months. • Teach in Austria (including Vienna & Salzburg), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin, Bonn or Cologne), Italy (as a Home Tutor or Language Tutor at an Italian school in the Le Marche region) or Spain (Madrid) for up to 3 months. You'll provide 15 hours of English language tutoring per week, mostly on weekdays. Responsibilities include preparing lessons and helping children and adults with their English conversational skills. Includes private room and full board provided by your host family. • Teaching English placements in the peaceful and welcoming African country of Ghana allow participants to choose from pre-schools, primary schools or libraries.
