What You Can Do |
Environmental Educators will provide hands-on learning in real world environments and teach classes in earth and life science, survival skills, team building, high & low ropes challenges and pioneer living skills. Other duties include care of captive wildlife in the herpetology lab, curriculum development, assisting in cleanup of facilities at the end of each session and 2 to 3 hours of KP (Kitchen Patrol) each week. Positions are offered during the spring and fall seasons; Internships are also available for college seniors. |

Benefits include $8.95/hour (salary increase dependent on experience), lodging in separate staff housing (staff is not required to chaperone children overnight) and 12 meals for $70/week (a meal plan is optional), two-week, in-depth paid training in all subject areas, pro deal offers, and complimentary housing at the five other Georgia 4-H Centers. |

The Essentials |
Individuals with commitment, a genuine interest in child development, dynamic personality, well-developed communication skills, creativity, leadership ability and a bachelor's degree in an outdoor-related field (education, natural sciences, environmental education, biology, forestry, outdoor education) are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be required to authorize a background check which must clear before starting work. |
