Program in the Spotlight The Road Less Traveled is a life-changing educational travel experience—an extraordinary opportunity to join with others, explore humanity, build deep relationships, and develop an appreciation for our world’s vast adventurous scenery and its people. As a Leader, you'll have the opportunity to share your knowledge and love of the wilderness, service learning, and cultural awareness with bright and enthusiastic young people; work with other highly motivated, qualified, committed professionals; and experience extraordinary lands and cultures around the world. RLT Field Staff are genuine, spirited, friendly, active, educated, and well-traveled. They are not just educators and counselors, they are mentors. They are responsible, committed, purposeful, and bold. Instructors begin their summer with ten days of paid staff training, then guide and engage participants in service-learning projects, language immersion programs, backpacking, rock climbing, biking, kayaking, trekking, SCUBA diving, whitewater rafting, and more from June through August. Benefits include a salary, living expenses, a stipend towards certifications, and the opportunity to work with world-renown and expert guides.

Join the dynamic team at Windigo as a Guide and travel to some of the coolest places in North America! Meet new people from different cultures and provide unforgettable experiences to grateful travelers. It's not a job opportunity, it’s a lifestyle. Guides will lead with service and share their passion for the outdoors through innovative trips that will get your international group hiking, biking, paddling, and more! Responsibilities include researching unfamiliar destinations, providing daily briefings, relaying historical, geographical and cultural information, handling group dynamics, maintaining outdoor equipment, organizing food shopping and cooking meals, and ensuring a safe and fun experience for all passengers. Compensation ranges from $125-$180/day plus tips and commission. Accommodations and most food while on tour are included, as well as access to pro deals, bonus options, and the opportunity to travel to enticing and off-the-beaten path destinations. If you are at least 23 years old (21 for Canadian applicants), have a clean driving record, an adventurous spirit, love the outdoors, and are looking for an exciting challenge, apply to join the Windigo team! The operation season runs from April to late October with contracts available for a partial or full season.

Summer Trip Leaders & Gap Semester Field Instructors

Come join ARCC Programs exciting and informative staff training in Bend, Oregon before you travel to the far corners of the world leading and inspiring teenagers while seeking adventure and immersing in communities. Program destinations include Australia/Fiji, Bali/Sumatra, Belize, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ecuador/Galápagos, India, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Vietnam, the U.S. (Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming).

For over 40 years ARCC Programs has offered extraordinary service and adventure programs for teens and young adults in some of the world’s most spectacular locations. ARCC is seeking Summer Program Leaders who are enthusiastic about working with students ages 13-18 and who have strong experience working with groups. Leaders will guide groups of up to eighteen students, with a co-leader, through rigorous international or domestic service projects, cultural exchange, and adventure programs that include backpacking, rafting, SCUBA diving, surfing, snorkeling, and sea kayaking. Leaders also provide cultural history and education relevant to their location and teach curriculum designed for community service programs. . Leaders must be available for staff training in Bend, Oregon from June 13th-18th, 2024, and then are contracted to lead one or two summer trips, ranging from 2-4 weeks through early August. Leaders can also transition into the Gap Semester Program as a Field Instructor. The first-year leader salary rate ranges from $1,600-$5,000 (depending on the length, location, and number of trips led), and includes all living and travel expenses on program and great pro-deals. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, WFR certified by mid-June 2024, in excellent physical condition, and have a current driver’s license and clean driving record.
