Sandbrook Meadow Farm is committed to preserving the integrity of the land and the joys of farm community through responsible organic farming practices. Farm Interns are a key element of the farm and can expect to contribute and learn skills in greenhouse management, field production methods, harvesting and distribution. The Farm values a cooperative relationship and are committed to making the internship an educational experience as well as a working one. Housing and a $1,000/month stipend is provided. Positions run from April 15th or May 1st through October 31st, 2017. The daily hour commitment will vary greatly depending on seasonal demands. Seasonal Program Specialists
Nestled on 800 acres in the Pine Barrens of Medford, New Jersey the YMCA Camp Ockanickon campus includes forests, trails, lakes, challenge courses, water inflatables, nature centers, outdoor and indoor sport courts, and craft centers that enable Program Specialists to provide safe and age-appropriate activities that aim to foster new relationships, build self-confidence and teach new skills.
Join a dynamic, fun, energetic team that works to serve diverse populations! Seasonal Program Specialists are responsible for developing awareness of the natural sciences through delivery of outdoor education programs; facilitating an appreciation of group decision making and problem solving activities through structured socialization and actualization experiences; providing program excellence and a caring environment so guests will have a rewarding and enjoyable educational experience; and ensuring that student and guests participate in safe outdoor recreational activities. Positions are typically available during the spring (March to June) and fall (August to December), averaging 35-40 hours/week. The Appalachian Mountain Club operates from Maine to Pennsylvania with offices or facilities in the following locations: Maine (Acadia National Park and 70,000 acres in central Maine just east of Greenville), Massachusetts (Boston, Northampton and South Egremont), New Hampshire (Alexandria, Chatham, Lake Winnipesaukee and the White Mountain National Forest), New Jersey (Delaware Water Gap), New York (Harriman State Park and NYC), and Pennsylvania (Bethlehem).
